DuraForm – Die Cast Release or Mold Release Agents
The DuraForm line of die cast releasing products operate on a wide range of processes including Cold Chamber, Hot Chamber, Squeeze Process, Vacuum Mold and Permanent Mold. DuraForm release fluids are available for a range different alloys including Aluminum, Zinc, Magnesium, Lead and Copper. Our products are designed to make your operations more efficient and your casting more cost effective. Performance benefits include minimizing scrap rates, brighter casting surfaces, more precise release, less soldering, lower gas generation, and a cleaner work environment. Plunger Lubricants
Falcon offers a variety of plunger lubricants suitable for various casting operations. Our products include water-based (aqueous) and oil based options. Each product is designed to specifically reduce friction and to extend tip and sleeve life.
DuraSafe – Fire Resistant Hydraulic Fluids
The DuraSafe line of product fire resistant hydraulic fluids are available in both polyol ester HFD-U form and water-glycol. Ladle Coatings and Mold Washes
Falcon offers ladle coats and mold washes to coal all material exposed to molten alloys in your casting operations. Use on troughs, distributor pans, spouts, floats, ladles, pots, goosenecks, permanent molds, slag carts, shell molds, billet molds and cores. Our ladle coatings will protect and extend the life of your equipment.
Trimming Fluids
Use Falcon branded DuraKut cutting fluids for trimming operations on aluminum, zinc, and magnesium castings. Our options are formulated to minimize or eliminate residues while providing maximum lubrication and tool life. DuraKut trim fluids have high or no flash points and provide rust protection on machinery and equipment.
DuraQuench – Quenching Lubricants
Poylmer Quenchants:
The DuraQuench series of non-flammable, polymeric quenchants have a wide variety of differing properties and great flexibility of quenching performance characteristics which are easily controlled through poylmer selection, polymer concentration, temperature of the bath and degree of agitation. DuraQuench polymeric quenchants are all water-soluble and are generally run between 5 – 30% concentrations. Once diluted, this aqueous solution of a liquid organic polymers and corrosion inhibitors produces a homogeneous solution. At temperatures above 165°F (74°C), however, the polymer separates from water as an insoluble phase, which replicates quench oil-like performance and uniformly coats alloys to ensure even temperature distribution and high hardenability.
