Machining with Minimum Quantity Lubricants (MQL) is a common way for modern manufacturers to “go green”. Also known as near-dry machining, or mist lubes, MQL is the process of applying small quantities of high-quality lubricants to the tool and work-piece. MQL reduces your environmental impact by reducing disposal of traditional flood coolants. Additionally it eliminates the costs associated with treatment, filtration, disposal, procurement, and record keeping of flood coolant system.
